A $500 booking deposit is due at time of booking.
Full payment is due on day of pick up. Full payment must be paid before departure. Deposits must be made with major credit cards (see below). Bank Drafts and Certified Cheques are not accepted.
Cancellation of Booking
A trip booked and cancelled within 7 days will be refunded the booking deposit, provided the departure date is greater than 49 days (7 weeks) from booking date. Bookings cancelled more than 7 days after booking date are subject to the following cancellation charges:
- Over 49 days prior to departure – $200.00
- 48 – 21 days prior to departure – $500.00
- 20 – 08 days prior to departure – $750.00
- 7 days – departure day and no shows – 100% of the total charges.
We at Motorhome Escapes understand that things change and emergencies happen. Bookings cancelled 49 days or more prior to departure will be offered the $200.00 cancellation fee as a credit to another rental booked within 1 year of the Cancellation Date.
A security deposit of $1,500 – $2,000 dollars will be required for all rentals at time of pick up. This deposit must be charged to a major credit card. Deposits will be refunded at the time of drop off. All rental and additional equipment must be accounted for before refund will be issued. The unit is expected to be cleaned inside and out, as well as holding tanks dumped, in order to perform the appropriate check in procedure. The rented motorhome is expected to be returned in equivalent condition as time of departure from Motorhome Escapes Canada.
Every rental will be delivered with a full tank of gas and is expected to be returned at a full tank. The motorhome is to be refuelled within 10KM of Motorhome Escapes and receipt will be requested as proof. If receipt is not presented upon return, customer will be charged market price plus $0.10 per litre, to refuel at time of drop off. No warranties will be made by Motorhome Escapes Canada as to fuel consumption or cost at time of rental.
All units depart with an initial full tank of propane. There is no charge for refilling. Return as you wish. Absolutely no refunds.
Every unit is sold with 100 FREE kilometers per day, included in the daily rate. Kilometers may be purchased before pick up of each rental. In the case of exceeding the purchased kilometers, extra kilometers will be charged at a rate of $0.38/Km. There are absolutely no refunds for unused kilometers.

Minimum Rental Duration
During the High, Medium and Low seasons the minimum rental duration is 7 nights. Off season rentals are subject to a 5 night minimum. There will be no refunds issued for early return and/or unused kilometers. A Short Term Preperation Fee of $125 will apply to any booking under 7 days in length.
Every rental will include a complimentary and thorough demonstration of your rental motorhome. Demonstrations can vary between 1/2 hour to 1 1/2 Hours, to familiarize you with all the systems and services for proper and safe operation of the Motorhome. Every renter, no exceptions, will be required to perform a complete checkout procedure at time of pick up.
Sorry, no Motorhome Escapes Canada motorhome is equipped with functioning levelling jacks.
Returning the Motorhome
Motorhome Escapes expects all rentals to be returned in equivalent condition as when picked up. There will be no refunds for early returns or partial cancellations of a rental term after departure.
Hours of Operation
May 1st through September 30th – 9:00AM to 6:00PM – Monday through Saturday
11:00AM to 5:00PM – Sunday
October 1st through April 30th – 9:00AM to 5:00PM – Monday through Saturday
Pick Up – 12:00PM to 4:00PM Monday through Saturday
Drop Off – 9:00AM to 11:00AM Monday through Saturday
Sunday Pick Up and Drop Off will be subject to a $300 fee each.
Late charges for drop offs after 11:00AM are charged at $80/hour
All of Motorhome Escapes’ vehicles are smoke free. If smoke is detected in the unit, an additional $500 deodorizing charge may apply.
Yes, we do allow pets. Motorhome Escapes must have notice at time of booking of any pets to stay in the vehicle. Motorhome Escapes reserves the right to refuse animal guests.
Maximum of 2 pets per rental unit.
Pets are subject to a $100 cleaning fee for allergy and cleanliness purposes. We understand your furry friends want to join you on your trip and only wish to ensure following renters are able to enjoy their trip as much as you do.
Units discovered to have had pets without express consent will be subject to a $250 penalty.
You are welcome to leave your personal vehicle at our location while on your vacation. Keys must be left with Motorhome Escapes Canada in case of an emergency. Keys will be locked for safe keeping. Motorhome Escapes Canada is not responsible for theft, damage or any other occurrence.
All drivers must possess a valid driver’s license throughout the entire rental period.
No special license is required for any unit in Motorhome Escapes Canada’s fleet.
International tourists are highly recommended to possess a valid international driver’s license and in some cases it may be required.
Minimum age is 26. Only drivers listed on the rental contract are allowed to drive.
Additional Drivers are possible at a cost of $5/night.
USA Driving is accepted at a cost of $10/night. Insurance will be void on any unit not registered to drive in the USA that crosses the border.
All motorhomes are provided with the following coverage:

- Valid anywhere in Canada or the Continental USA unless otherwise stated in your rental agreement
- Number of rental party much match the number of seatbelts in the rental unit
Rental motorhomes are not permitted to travel to Northern No Travel Zones (see below), Mexico and Death Valley USA (June – September), under any circumstances. Death Valley visits are limited to October 1st through May 31st exclusively, due to extreme heat which may result in serious system failure. Travel in restricted areas will void all insurance at renter’s expense.
Northern No Travel Zones
– Dalton (North of Fairbanks) Highway, Alaska
– Denali (North of Fairbanks) Highway, Alaska
– North Canol Highway, Yukon
Reminder: A $10/day fee applies to all USA travel for the duration of your trip. The number of seatbelts provided in each unit will determine the number of passengers allowed for traveling. The number of seatbelts does not represent the sleeping capacity of the motorhome. Motorhome Escapes Canada also reserves the right to refuse any rentals for unreasonable long distances for short periods of time.
Northern Canada/Alaskan Surcharge
Travelers looking to visit Northern Canada and Alaska will be required to pay a $500 surcharge. Travel plans including these locations must be made known to Motorhome Escapes Canada at time of booking. Motorhomes that visit these areas without consent from Motorhome Escapes will be void of all warranty at the cost of the renter.
Northern Areas Include:
– Alaska Highway, North of Fort St. John, British Columbia
– Cassiar Highway (#37) North of Kitwanga, British Columbia
– Highway 35 North of Peace River, Alberta
– Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Newfoundland
– Quebec and Labrador North and East of Sept-Iles
It is the clients responsibility to report and pay for all toll charges, parking or traffic violations on drop off. Clients failing to report these may result in an administrative charge of up to $100 in addition to the fine/toll charge, which will be charged to the clients’ credit card after rental has terminated.
Repairs and Maintenance Responsibilities
Motorhome Escapes Canada makes every effort to ensure our units are kept in peak mechanical repair. In the unlikely situation of a mechanical failure, Motorhome Escapes guests can authorize repairs up to $100.
Any repair or bill over $100 must be phoned in and approved by Motorhome Escapes Canada, before repairs begin. Parts replaced must be returned to Motorhome Escapes in order to receive reimbursement.
If an oil change is necessary during a long trip, guests are expected to have this service performed at the appropriate mileage. Cost for this oil change will be refunded upon presentation of receipts.
Full responsibility for tires and undercarriage are assumed by guests. Guests are also expected to monitor oil, tire pressure and coolant levels at each refuelling.
In the unlikely event of a breakdown and repair lasting more than 48 hours, Motorhome Escapes is limited to the responsibility of daily gross rate, or portion thereof.
Local festivals such as Boots and Hearts and Wayhome are subject to a $100 surcharge. Vehicles intended for these festivals must be expressly requested at time of reservation. Guests who travel to such events without permission will be subject to a $1,000 penalty and will void all insurance coverage.
The Burning Man Festival in Nevada USA is prohibited.
It must be made known to Motorhome Escapes Canada if the rental unit is intended for use at a festival or any other high risk event during its rental period. Any motorhome damaged at such event without Motorhome Escapes permission to attend will be subject to penalties as stated above.

Bedding Kit: $55/rental
Includes: Fitted Sheet, Bed Sheet, 2 Extra Pillows, Pillow Cases, Comforter, 2 Bath Towels, 2 Wash Cloths, 2 Hand Towels
Each unit will come with a set of standard equipment including: 2 Rolls of RV Toilet Paper, RV Toilet Chemicals, Fresh Water Hose, Sewer Hose, Flash Light, First Aid Kit, Broom & Dustpan, Rubber Gloves
Each unit is equipped with an electric awning. For a fee of $100, the awning can be activated for renters use. Awning use will also be subject to an addition $500 on your security deposit.
Every unit on our fleet is equipped with a generator. Use is charged at $3.50 per hour to a maximum charge of $150. Generator use is free during winter months (Nov 1st – April 30th)
We do offer other optional rentals including bike racks, coffee makers, lawn chairs and more. Quantities are limited, book as soon as possible.
Sorry, absolutely no towing of any kind is allowed on Motorhome Escapes Canada motorhomes. Hitches are exclusively for use of bike racks and other similar items.
Motorhome Escapes Responsibilities
In circumstances outside of Motorhome Escapes Canada’s control, the reserved vehicle is not available, Motorhome Escapes Canada reserves the right to substitute a vehicle of equivalent value or offer a higher rated vehicle at no additional cost. Should it be necessary to substitute a lower rated vehicle be substituted, Motorhome Escapes’ only responsibility is to refund the difference between the two vehicles. Every effort is made to ensure this issue does not arise, however mechanical repair and accidents may force a substitution. In an extreme case where no unit is available, Motorhome Escapes Canada’s only liability is to refund the booking deposit.
